Documentary

A New Zealand filmmaker revisits her Rhodesian childhood and reconciles herself with the effects of the colonial past. As a child, Jennifer Bush-Daumec moved from England to Rhodesia with her parents. Her memories of a happy childhood are stirred by a collection of old family movies. She returns with a small film crew to Zimbabwe. Hoping to understand how her father exercised his prerogatives as a white colonial, she draws fascinating testimony from those of his contemporaries who stayed in Zimbabwe.
