"Magik and Rose" is an off-beat tale of friendship and fertility. Arriving in the small town of Hokitika, fortune-teller Magik parks her house truck next to a local eccentric named Jackson. She is there for one reason – to find the daughter who she gave up for adoption 15 years ago. She meets small-town Rose who is desperate to have a baby. After three years of trying, Rose hasn’t conceived. Even her husband is going off the idea. Looking for hope from the spiritual realm, Rose goes to see Magik. An unlikely friendship develops. The women have more in common than they could imagine.
